For years our principals and our partners worked for the carriers. We developed the rules, practices, and business models the carriers still use to maximize their profits.

Now we’re on your side of the table, working to maximize your transportation savings. And our interests are perfectly aligned with yours – our compensation is based on the saving we create for you.

Shipper’s Advocate’s CEO and Founder, Doug Carnes, was the UPS Corporate Manager for the Guaranteed Service Refund Program and UPS Ground Services.

Our UPS/FedEx/DHL contract specialist worked in UPS Corporate Pricing and Parcel Logistics. He developed the pricing models the parcel carriers use still today.

Our domestic LTL/TL and international freight partners have years of experience in freight carrier and freight brokering management and operations.

Doug was the UPS Corporate Manager for the Guaranteed Service Refund Program and UPS Ground Services. He founded the company in 2002 using his 15 years experience in the shipping industry to assist businesses with their shipping challenges. Doug is based out of Cape May, NJ.

Business Development Manager

Evan has been with Shipper’s Advocate for over 16 years, working with manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers in an extremely wide range of industries. Prior to Shipper’s Advocate, he performed sales and marketing for business services companies and non-profit supported employment agencies. Evan has a BA from Wittenberg University, spent a year studying abroad in India, and now works in our Washington State office.

Based out of the Washington DC area, Alison has been managing client relations with our company for five years. A graduate of Guilford College she brings years of Sales and Marketing experience to the company.

Kent received his MBA from The Wharton School and is based out of the Philadelphia area. Kent is a McNeil/Johnson & Johnson marketing trained executive experienced with startup and established companies in domestic and international markets. He has been managing customer relations with the company for one year.
